The method comprises applying a first varnish layer (2a) comprising polyurethane resin and curing agent on a first metal element (1), bonding a metal foil on the varnish layer, and applying a second varnish layer (2b) to a free face of the metal foil. The application of the first varnish layer is preceded by surface treatment of the sheet with a needle gun. The varnish has a viscosity of 300-500 mPa.seconds at 25[deg] C. The weight ratio of polyurethane resin and curing agent is 1.30:1-1.35:1. The metal foil has a thickness of 0.001-2 mm. An independent claim is included for a metal element covered with plating.
