The sensor (100) has an inductor (101) provided in a star geometry and including a series of branches (104a-104f) and valleys (105a-105f), where an end of each branch and each valley is rounded. The inductor includes even number of branches, where a distance between the center (110) of the star geometry and the end of each branch is less than or equal to the radius of a contact lens, preferably between 60 and 85 percent of the radius of the contact lens. The inductor includes two terminals (106a, 106b) arranged outside the inductor. An independent claim is also included for a flexible contact lens.
