The assembly has a frontal part (100) with an undercut fixing element (104) for preventing the movement of a side part of a grill (114) according to normal direction on an external surface (116) of the grill. The grill extends in a curve from front of a motor vehicle toward sides, where an angle of undercut of the fixing element is provided such that the angle defines a reserve surface (106) parallel with a front-to-back axis of the vehicle. The fixing element is a part of a headlight projector of the frontal part. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a grill on a frontal part of a motor vehicle.
