The method involves interpreting (Sa41) data of input use by performing a recognition routine of a context associated with a current user of a data processing terminal. Check is made (Ta44) to determine whether multimedia contents correspond to the context for selecting the contents in a list of contents for reading according to a recognized context, where the list is locally prestored in a memory of the terminal. The selected contents are downloaded if a quality of a connection of the terminal to a network is higher than a preset threshold. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data processing terminal (2) a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method for local contextual reading of multimedia content on a data processing terminal during use of the terminal.
