The gas-detector has a surface acoustic wave sensor (10A) comprising an active surface adapted to interact with chemical species. The sensor is arranged upwardly on an upper surface (33) of an electronic board (15). A part (70) of the active surface defines a channel (25) for circulation of gas destined to be analyzed. An obturation assembly (30) of the channel is placed relative to the sensor. The channel enters a slice (37) of the board, a part (70) of the active surface and a part of the obturation assembly. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a gas-detector.
