Mobile computing device with specific features to assist visually impaired users

A mobile computing device 1, such as a smartphone or tablet, includes a physical feature 2, 3 which defines the centre-line of the device across the short and/or long axes of the device. The physical feature may be a ridge and may be distinctly coloured. The body of the device may have a left-right asymmetrical shape. The device may include a front facing speaker grill with multiple front-facing audio outputs that lie adjacent to keys of a physical keyboard. The keys may provide haptic feedback. Upon touching a physical key, the device may provide both visual and audio confirmation feedback. The device (193, fig. 19) may have a separate camera (191) connected via a flexible leash (192). The device may include a drop sensing app that automatically triggers an audible alert to assist the user in locating the device after it has been dropped. The device may have multiple microphones to accurately detect a tap sources location on the device casing. Colour sensing software may be included on the device. The device may include a keyboard in which all physical keys on the same row provide different touch feedback sensations from adjacent keys.
