Batch evaluation of remote method calls to an object oriented database

An application 102 makes remote method calls to objects stored on a server 106. The objects may be part of an object oriented database in a data store 108. The stack frame associated with the method call is analysed to determine if it can be executed with another call associated with another stack. If so, the two calls are combined into a single remote request. The request is then sent to the server to execute the method calls. When the result of the request is received from the server, the results of both calls are placed in their respective stacks and the applications are allowed to continue.
