PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin additive excellent in both flame retardancy and impact resistance.SOLUTION: A resin additive contains: a resin having a crosslinked structure; and at least one flame-retardant component which is contained in the crosslinked structure of the resin at a concentration of more than 50 mass% and less than or equal to 99 mass% and selected from the group consisting of (A) liquid flame retardants and (B) solid flame retardants and liquids in which the solid flame retardants are dissolved or dispersed. The resin additive has a shear modulus in the range from 1 Pa to 10Pa inclusive.
