PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periodontal pocket depth measuring device capable of accurately measuring a periodontal pocket depth in a non-contact manner regardless of skill of an operator, and to provide a periodontal pocket depth measuring method.;SOLUTION: A periodontal pocket depth measuring device 1 emits light to a measured part 7 from a light source that simultaneously emits both visible light and excitation light to a fluorescent substance filled in a periodontal pocket, allows a first sensor 9 to form an image of the visible light selectively received through a first filter 8 and then uses a first image processing unit 10 to generate a visible light image. The device allows a second sensor 12 to form an image of infrared fluorescence selectively received through a second filter 11 and then uses a second image processing unit 13 to generate a fluorescent image. The device uses an image combining unit 14 to combine the obtained visible light image and fluorescent image so as not to cause any phase difference, and then displays the image combined by image combination on a display unit 15.
