PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail head grinding machine and a self-propelled rail head grinding device in which the following to slack and meandering is possible in a simple structure even if the slack and meandering are present in the rail, and various grinding work can easily be executed by using a grinding belt rotating in the direction of the rail.;SOLUTION: A grinding belt 24d is hung over on the outside of a pair of rotary pulleys 24c1, 24c2 disposed at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of a rail R and provided with abrasives on the surface. In the inside of the grinding belt, two or more pushing rollers 24e1-24e4 having pushing surfaces of different shapes are provided. While rotating the grinding belt 24d by the pair of rotary pulleys 24c1, 24c2, one pushing roller is selected from among the two or more pushing rollers 24e1-24e4. The grinding belt 24d is pushed out in the direction of the rail R by the pushing surface of the selected one pushing roller. Thereby, a polishing part of the surface of the grinding belt 24d is pressed on the head of the rail R and the head of the rail R is ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
