PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce substantially uniform equivalent strain into the whole workpiece.SOLUTION: In equivalent strain imparting processing, equivalent strain is introduced into a first workpiece by sliding and moving one of at least two metal molds relatively to the other metal mold in a direction substantially perpendicular to a pressing direction while the first workpiece is arranged between the metal molds and pressed and held between the metal molds. The equivalent strain generated in the first workpiece is made substantially uniform through two kinds or more of equivalent strain imparting processing which differ in at least one of the direction in which the metal molds press the first workpiece and the direction in which the metal molds slide based upon the first workpiece.
