METHOD OF RENOVATION TO ESTABLISH TSUNAMI EVACUATION FACILITY USING REMAIN OF FUEL SERVICE STATION AND THE TSUNAMI EVACUATION FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To renovate a remain of gas station and other fuel service stations located in an area relatively close to a coast and without a hill or other upland into a structure that serves as a tsunami evacuation facility.;SOLUTION: In a method to renovate a remain of a fuel service station A that has at least a pillar 7 and a canopy section 6 equipped with a roof 8 and supported by the pillar 7 into a tsunami evacuation facility B, the renovation method to establish the tsunami evacuation facility B using the remain of the fuel service station A reinforces the pillar 7 of the canopy section 6 for conserving the pillar 7 against force of a tsunami wave and a drifting object, while improving the supporting strength of the roof 8 supported by the pillar 7, and establishing the roof surface as an evacuation floor surface 14 and surrounding the entire or a part of the periphery with a handrail 15 and providing evacuation means 16 and 17 to the evacuation floor surface 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
