PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate improved in thermal stability and a pigment dispersion with dispersibility improved further by using the condensate as a dispersant.;SOLUTION: A naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate has a combined content of a naphthalene sulfonic acid constituent and a naphthalene disulfonic acid constituent of 20 mass% or lower and is improved in thermal stability, compared with conventional naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensates.
