PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an artificial coating and a fixed pin for use in a guided tissue regeneration method, using a medical implant material containing magnesium (Mg), zinc (Zn), calcium (Ca), and iron (Fe) as a metal glass containing magnesium, in order to provide a medical implant product which has strength, extensibility, and biodegradability simultaneously and does not adversely influence a living body.;SOLUTION: Metal glass powder expressed as a composition formula of Mg100-a-bZnaCab (where, a and b satisfy the relationship of 21.0≤a≤35.0, and 2.0≤b≤7.0 respectively, by atomic percentage) and 1.0 vol% or more and 10.0 vol% or less of Fe power are mixed in advance and processed by a discharge plasma sintering method to produce a metal glass composite.
