PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an exhaust gas sensor including a self-healing property ceramic material.;SOLUTION: A control device of an exhaust gas sensor is configured to include: a solid electrolyte layer arranged inside an exhaust gas passage of an internal combustion engine; a first electrode layer arranged on one surface of the solid electrolyte layer and exposed to the exhaust gas via a diffusion rate determining layer and/or a trap layer; and a second electrode layer arranged on the other surface of the solid electrolyte layer. Meanwhile, the solid electrolyte layer includes a self-healing property ceramic material and/or the diffusion rate determining layer, and/or the trap layer includes an exhaust gas sensor including the self-healing property ceramic material and a voltage application device. When a layer periodically and/or including the self-healing property ceramic material is determined to be broken, regeneration treatment is executed for changing a voltage applied between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer by the voltage application device so that an oxygen amount flowing to the layer including the self-healing property ceramic material is increased relative to that at the normal time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
