PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently achieve an appropriate form of electric power use, for which diverse alternatives are conceivable, and thereby reduce the cost of power generation and power rates.;SOLUTION: An electric power use optimization support system 100 comprises a first processor 111 that, regarding each of the time zones defined by time zone-specific electric power use reference values, identifies a prescribed number of power consumers under contract specifying a power rate plan having prescribed characteristics in unit power rate, generates a basket in which information of the power consumers is collected, and stores the basket in a memory unit 101; a second processor 112 that totals for each time zone the wattage consumed by each of the power consumers included in the basket to calculate its difference from the applicable time zone-specific electric power use reference value and, for any consumer whose difference is at or above a prescribed reference level, either specifies and adds to the basket a new power consumer or removes the significantly different power consumer from the basket; and a third processor 113 that calculates the level of contribution to such differences for each power consumer in the basket and transmits to the pertinent power consumer's terminal a guidance notice recommending a change to a wattage of use for a time zone matching the level of contribution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
