PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of extracting and illustrating an operation sequence in a document.SOLUTION: A sequence extraction method includes: a structure data generation step of segmenting sentences constituting a document into paragraphs based upon time condition words and punctuation marks, and generating structure data including each paragraph, a first identifier indicative of the paragraph, a second identifier indicative of a sentence including the paragraph, and a time condition word; a time condition extraction step of extracting the time condition word from the structure data, and generating time condition data including the time condition word, a transition direction corresponding to the time condition word, and the first identifier corresponding to the time condition word; and a sequence extraction step of extracting the time condition word from the time condition data, extracting a first identifier corresponding to a paragraph having the same identifier as the second identifier corresponding to the time condition word from the structure data, and generating operation sequence data including the first identifier corresponding to the time condition word, a first identifier of a paragraph having the second identifier, and a time direction corresponding to the time condition word for the second identifier.
