REINFORCING CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF COLUMNAR SUPPORT AND/OR BRACE FOR SPHERICAL TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing construction method of a columnar support and/or a brace for a spherical tank, which performs, at high work efficiency, the cut and removal of the columnar support and/or the brace, the reinforcing construction, and the connection of new members in order to enhance rigidity and strength to lateral vibration caused by an earthquake, a strong wind or the like with respect to an existing spherical tank, and to improve durability and safety.SOLUTION: In a reinforcing construction method of columnar supports 3 and/or braces 5 for an existing spherical tank 1, a plurality of pieces of the columnar supports 3 which are placed on and fixed to an external peripheral face of a spherical shell body 2 of the spherical tank 1 at prescribed intervals are fixed on a foundation 4, the braces 5 which intersect with each other in an X-shape between the adjacent columnar supports 3 are connected to each other, and the columnar supports 3 are formed of upper columnar supports 3a and lower columnar supports 3b. Intermediate parts 3b3 of the existing lower columnar supports 3b are removed, and then, new reinforcing intermediate columnar supports 3A are arranged.
