PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information retrieval system and the like with which medical information can be easily and accurately retrieved.SOLUTION: A medical information retrieval system 1 includes: a retrieval section 22b which extracts disease information related to retrieval condition information on the basis of the retrieval condition information acquired by an acquisition section 22a, according to a prescribed method, from among disease information stored in an ICD disease name information DB 23a, and which retrieves ICD disease name specification information corresponding to the extracted disease information from among ICD disease name specification information stored in the ICD disease name information DB 23a; a section 22c for specifying DPC disease name specification information which specifies DPC disease name specification information corresponding to the ICD disease name specification information retrieved by the retrieval section 22b; and an output control section 15a which outputs, via a display unit 13, the DPC disease name specification information specified by the section 22c for specifying DPC disease name specification information.
