PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a normal vector extraction device capable of extracting a normal vector with high accuracy in an environment where the surface of an object is in the shade.;SOLUTION: Provided is a normal vector extraction device 10 for extracting a normal vector in a photometric stereo method, wherein the normal vector extraction device 10 has a normal vector extraction unit 17 for extracting, for each of a first combination for selecting some images from a plurality of first images of a subject photographed for each light source by using four or more light sources disposed at positions at which no shape is created depending on pixel, excluding a prescribed number of images from the first images, a normal vector in which a first dispersion is smaller than a second dispersion from among a plurality of normal vectors calculated on the basis of a second combination for selecting three or more second images from the some images.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
