PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a cationic polymerization initiator that allows a cationic polymerizable compound to be subjected to cationic polymerization without using a metal catalyst as a counter ion; a production method of the cationic polymerization initiator that can produce the cationic polymerization initiator; a production method of a polymer that uses the cationic polymerization initiator; and a cellulose block copolymer that is produced using the production method of the polymer.;SOLUTION: The cationic polymerization initiator includes at least one kind of a compound represented by formula (1) and a compound represented by formula (2). In each of formulae (1) and (2), each of R0s independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent represented by CZ3-(CZ2)n1-CO-; each of Zs represents a hydrogen atom; n and m each independently represent a natural number showing the number of repeating units; and n1 represents an integer of 0 or more and 10 or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
