PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type holder for a conical roller bearing capable of preventing holder segments neighboring in a circumferential direction from being bonded with surface tension of grease, and reducing impact due to collision of the holder segments.SOLUTION: In a split type holder 14 for a conical roller bearing 10 where plural holder segments 20 storing a conical roller 13 are arrayed in an annular shape in a circumferential direction, each holder segment 20 has an opposite surface 20a opposite to another holder segment 20 neighboring in the circumferential direction, and at least one of the opposite surfaces 20a opposite to each other includes a structure that is partially contactable with respect to the other surface.
