PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that can eliminate a calibration point and perform APC light emission control without reducing the size of an image.;SOLUTION: The projector comprises: a plurality of light source units 101R, 101G and 101B for outputting laser beams of different colour wavelengths from each other; a projection unit 130 for projecting an image onto a projected surface 108 by scanning a laser beam outputted by each of the plurality of light source units 101R, 101G and 101B and irradiating the projected surface 108 with the laser beam; an OEIC 104 for detecting a part of an amount of light of the laser beam emitted by each of the plurality of light source units 101R, 101G and 101B for projecting an image; and a control unit 107 for controlling the amount of light of the laser beam. On the basis of the amount of light detected by the OEIC 104, the control unit 107 calibrates the amount of light of the laser beam so that a ratio of a pixel value of each colour of each of a plurality of pixels in the image projected on the projected surface 108 and an amount of light of a laser beam outputted by the light source unit of each colour coincides with a predetermined ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
