PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a pass set that can improve a branch coverage with fewer paths from a program under test.;SOLUTION: A test case generation apparatus 10 manages a branch execution count by which a conditional branch contained in a program 30 under test 30 is executed to a branch destination, compares branch information corresponding to a route candidate obtained from the branch execution count with branch information corresponding to already extracted, existing routes of the program under test 30 to detect whether the route candidate is an overlap route contained in the existing routes, determines the branch destination based on a preset rule in response to the branch execution count of the conditional branch if it is detected that the route candidate is not the overlap route, selects a route from start to end of the program under test 30, and generates branch information corresponding to the selected route as the branch information corresponding to the existing route.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
