PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce alkali halide-based scintillator powder at room temperature in the atmosphere without complex conditional control or processes in a high vacuum and/or at high temperatures and to produce a large-sized scintillator sheet.;SOLUTION: A method of producing alkali halide-based scintillator powder comprises adding an additive to serve as a luminescence center to alkali halide powder as a matrix so as to yield a specified mol%, crushing and/or mixing the alkali halide powder and the additive together by applying mechanical energy to the alkali halide powder and the additive in the form of impact force, shear force, shear stress and/or friction force so as to dope the alkali halide of the matrix with the additive ion to serve as the luminescence center.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
