PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a subset of nodes which are not under an energy saving mode, in a node group covering an area of a wireless cellular communication network.SOLUTION: Nodes in the subset of nodes cover an area of a node group when several nodes are under the energy saving mode. A link between neighboring nodes among nodes in the node group is determined and for each node, a metric value is identified. The metric is the number of non-processed nodes to which nodes are linked. A node having a highest metric value is added to the subset of nodes, and a node in the vicinity of the added node is marked as a processed node. Until all the nodes are processed, the step of identifying the metric, the step of adding the node to the subset of nodes, and the step of marking the node are repeated.
