PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user when updating content of a web page satisfies a predetermined condition.SOLUTION: An updating monitoring method includes steps executed by a computer: continuously acquiring document information which describes web page content and extracting a text from document information on the basis of location information which shows a predetermined extraction range; and generating notice information which notifies a user of updating when the extracted text satisfies a predetermined condition.
