PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance for removing droplets present in wet steam.SOLUTION: A moisture separation unit according to an embodiment comprises: a steam drying unit including a plurality of steam channel formation members having a plurality of capture means and forming partially bent steam channels therebetween; and a droplet diameter increasing device provided on an upstream inlet surface of the steam drying unit, capturing droplets from wet steam to increase droplet diameters, and including a plurality of tubular channels 11c arranged in parallel and extending from a reception port of the supplied wet steam to the steam drying unit. Each of the tubular channels 11c includes an obstacle 15 crossing the channel 11c in a longitudinal direction of the channel for colliding and agglomerating fine droplets.
