PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set an individual address even in a system in which a multi-drop communication method and a 1-to-N communication method are mixed, in order to solve a problem of a large amount of setting man hour caused by requirement for manual setting of individual addresses in a monitoring system in which a plurality of power monitoring apparatuses collect data such as power, communication is performed between a host device and the power monitoring apparatuses, and the host device manages and operates the data.;SOLUTION: A monitoring system performing communication between a host device and power monitoring apparatuses with a method in which a multi-drop communication method and a 1-to-N communication method are mixed includes the host device which: confirms existence of an address that is not set yet in a power monitoring apparatus; and sets an individual address to the power monitoring apparatus whose individual address is not set yet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
