PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical photon meter capable of indicating the photosynthesis photon flux density for each wavelength in real time.SOLUTION: In a spectroscopic unit 1, a measuring object beam input to a spectroscopic element 12 by an incident optical system 13 is dispersed by the spectroscopic element 12, and is photoelectrically converted by a detector 14, and a photoelectric conversion signal for each wavelength is transmitted to an arithmetic processing unit 2 via interface sections 16 and 26. The arithmetic processing unit 2 is a general purpose computer in which a measurement program 4 of photosynthesis photon flux density and a dedicated device driver 262 are installed. The arithmetic processing unit 2 calculates the received spectroscopic data to obtain the distribution of the photosynthesis photon flux density for each wavelength, and displays it on a display 24.
