Tagging standards of interest in spectroscopic search applications

Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for tagging standards of interest in spectroscopic search applications are presented. A reference list of materials to be considered as part of the final analysis of the spectroscopic analysis of the sample material is generated. A monitoring list of at least one substance to be retained for the final analysis of the spectroscopic analysis of the sample substance is provided. The final analysis of the sample material is performed using a monitoring list of at least one material and a reference list of materials. A determination is then made as to whether the spectrum of the sample material matches at least one spectrum of the material on the monitoring list and the reference list. [Selection] Figure 2
