COMBUSTION DEVICE WHICH STOPS COMBUSTION BEFORE ARRIVAL OF EARTHQUAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by stopping combustion before arrival of an earthquake on the basis of an alert for incoming earthquake shock and to minimize a reduction in an operating rate.SOLUTION: A combustion device such as a boiler 1 which generates flame has an operation control unit 2 to control operation of the combustion device and a seismoscope 3 which is actuated when the combustion device is oscillated beyond a predetermined degree. A signal indicating actuation of the seismoscope 3 is output to the operation control unit 2. When receiving the same, the operation control unit 2 performs combustion prohibition control. The operation control unit 2 also receives an alert for incoming earthquake shock and performs the combustion prohibition control when receiving the same. The operation control unit 2 automatically lifts the combustion prohibition control on the basis of the alert when the seismoscope 3 is not actuated in a predetermined period after performing the combustion prohibition control on the basis of the alert.
