PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation data generation method and a simulation data generation device for easily simulating the measurement data of a three-dimensional measurement device whose specifications are different.;SOLUTION: A simulation data generation method includes: a data acquisition step of acquiring master data 130 in which the three-dimensional positions of a plurality of measurement points are shown; and a simulation data generation step of generating simulation data 136 based on the specifications of an arbitrary three-dimensional measurement device from the master data 130. In the simulation data generation step, a simulation measurement range which may be measured by the three-dimensional measurement device is determined on the basis of the specifications of the three-dimensional measurement device with respect to a plurality of measurement points shown by the master data 130, and the distance of the simulation measurement range from a position as a reference shown by the simulation data 136 is calculated on the basis of the position of each of one or more measurement points included in the simulation measurement range. Thus, it is possible to easily generate the simulation data 136 which may be measured by the arbitrary three-dimensional measurement device on the basis of the master data 130 and the specifications of the arbitrary three-dimensional measurement device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
