PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle passage intercepting machine that can quickly recover a blocking bar after a release operation.;SOLUTION: A vehicle passage intercepting machine includes a blocking bar 30 which is rotated between a blocking position S for blocking passing of a vehicle and a permission position K for permitting advancing of the vehicle to perform an opening/closing operation, a release shaft 22 for rotating the blocking bar 30 in a release direction to release impact by the vehicle, and a recovery driving section 60 for rotating the blocking bar 30 rotated in the release direction in a recovery direction. The recovery driving section 60 includes a wire 66 fixed to the blocking bar 30, a pulley 61 wound with the wire 66, a motor for recovery 68 for rotating the pulley 61 in a winding direction P2 for the wire 66, and a clutch mechanism 70 for transmitting only the rotation in the winding direction P2 between the pulley 61 and the motor for recovery 68 mutually.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
