TITRATION PACKAGE FOR NERAMEXANE AND ITS USE IN THE TREATMENT OF INNER EAR DISORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titration scheme for administration of a 1-amino-alkylcyclohexane derivative for the treatment of an inner ear disorder such as tinnitus and hearing loss while minimizing side effects.SOLUTION: This invention relates to use of neramexane (1-amino-1,3,3,5,5-pentamethylcyclohexane) and pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof (e.g., neramexane mesylate) as a 1-amino-alkylcyclohexane derivative, wherein the use is for medicament production for administration based on a titration scheme including up-titration of the medicament by increasing the dose by 25 mg or 12.5 mg per week to achieve an effective dose of 50-75 mg/day.
