PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a waveform recognition device, a waveform recognition method, and a program that will report no wrong azimuth to the operator.;SOLUTION: A waveform generation circuit 4 applies an azimuth measurement process to a reception signal to generate an evaluation function waveform; a peak calculation circuit 5 calculates a peak from the evaluation function waveform and determines whether the peak is continuous with the previously calculated one; a same emission-source identification circuit 6 calculates a peak width of continuous peaks, determines whether it is the same evaluation function waveform as the previous waveform on the basis of the difference from the previously obtained peak width; a measurement result calculation circuit 7, if determined that the evaluation function wave is the same as the previous one, confirms a temporal continuity between the peak of the previously displayed azimuth angle and the peak of the maximum level of the presently measured/calculated evaluation function waveform; and, if determined that there is a temporal continuity, determines the azimuth angle of the first peak of the presently obtained maximum level to be an azimuth angle similar to one up to the previous time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
