PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact method and device for determining a shape of a target, and a method of correlating laser ultrasonic measurements of the target.;SOLUTION: A method of correlating laser ultrasonic data to position data of an article includes: measuring a size of the article by a structured optical system; and detecting an ultrasonic surface displacement of a surface of the article. The method includes: next, correlating the size of the article to the ultrasonic displacement. The method furthermore includes: comparing the size of the article with a known data set; processing the ultrasonic surface displacement; and correlating the known data set to the processed ultrasonic surface displacement.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
