PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a workload and a cost for construction.;SOLUTION: A method for constructing overhead transmission lines comprises the steps of: installing new overhead transmission lines 120 to crossarms 114 arranged at the upper or lower side of existing overhead transmission lines 20 supported by a plurality of steel towers 10A and 10B disposed inside a construction section so as to correspond to the existing overhead transmission lines 20; cutting electrical connection between the existing overhead transmission lines 20 inside the construction section and the overhead transmission lines 20 outside the construction section, at each of the steel towers 10A and 10A placed at both ends of the construction section; and forming bypasses for electrically connecting ends of the overhead transmission lines outside the construction section and ends of the new overhead transmission lines by using insulation jumper wires 130, including insulating layers and shield layers and being arranged vertically, on each of the steel towers placed at both ends of the construction section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
