The present invention provides a brake mechanism for a baby carriage. The brake mechanism (40) is provided with the following components: a body component (60), a sliding component (80) which is kept at a first keeping position or a second keeping position, and a swinging component (100) which can be snapped with a wheel (45) for restricting rotation of the wheel. The swinging component comprises a first snapping claw (110) and a second snapping claw (115). The first snapping claw (110) can be snapping with an operation sheet (88) which slides to the first keeping position. The second snapping claw (115) can be snapped with an operation sheet which slides to the second keeping position. When the sliding component is kept at the second keeping position, the second snapping claw is configured to a position which is deviated from the moving path (ra) of the operation sheet to side part, and the second snapping claw can abut against the operation sheet in a direction which is crossed with a preset direction.
