PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel nucleotides, nucleoside, and their derivatives that can be used in a DNA sequencing technology and other types of DNA analysis.SOLUTION: A nucleotide or nucleoside with an unprotected 3'-OH group is derivatized at nucleobase to include a fluorescent dye attached via a linker to a non-cleavable terminating group. A nucleotide or nucleoside with the unprotected 3'-OH group is derivatized at the nucleobase to include the fluorescent dye attached via the linker to a photocleavable terminating group. By using them, a method of DNA analysis sequences DNA oligomers efficiently in a parallel format.
