PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for fixing a live fish corresponding to the dispersion of the size of the fish while effectively suppressing violent acting of the fish, and allowing smooth fixing of the fish, and to provide an apparatus for killing the fish immediately before cooking using the apparatus for fixing the live fish.;SOLUTION: There is provided the apparatus for fixing the live fish designed to press the fish fed from the head in a posture lying laterally on a table 21 with a plurality of fish body pressing tools 34 supported to change the distance from the table 21 according to the thickness of the fish in the direction of the table 21, and thereby fix the fish. The fish body pressing tools 34 are disposed at fixing positions of the fish in which at least one is installed in the position for pressing the body part of the fish and at least another one is installed in the position for pressing the tail part. The apparatus for killing the fish immediately before cooking includes the apparatus for fixing the live fish, and a cutting mechanism 70 for making a cut into a prescribed position of the fixed fish by advancing and retreating a cutting knife for making the cut.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
