PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of further effectively developing a drug for treatment and prevention of a psychiatric symptom by screening a substance exerting effect on treatment and/or prevention of the psychiatric symptom using psychiatric symptom model animals.;SOLUTION: A screening method of a substance having an effect on treatment and/or prevention of a psychiatric symptom including anxiety or depression includes the steps of: (1) administering a test substance to CD157/bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 (BST-1) gene expression nonhuman mammals; (2) checking the psychiatric symptom of the mammals; and (3), when the psychiatric symptom is improved compared with a case where a substance to be tested is not applied, selecting the substance to be tested as a candidate of the substance having an effect on treatment and/or prevention of the psychiatric symptom .;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
