PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for controlling stored-food insect pests.;SOLUTION: A controlling agent for food insect pests includes D-psicose as an active ingredient. The use of the controlling agent is also provided. Food insect pests can be controlled by using D-psicose, which is harmless to a human and has sweetener properties, for a sweetener or a part of it in food.
