PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability of holding of an adaptor in an arm by use of an exclusive part.SOLUTION: A front glass wiper retainer is relevant to a device which fixes a front glass wiper 16 to a drive arm 12 of a wiper system 10, and is equipped with a terminal part 14 of the arm, a connector 20 so designed as to be fixed to the wiper, a connection adaptor 50 for connecting the connector to the arm, and an intermediate part 40. The adaptor includes means for holding the adaptor to the arm at a reference fixation position, the intermediate part has means which is movable with respect to the adaptor at the terminal part and releases and/or locks the holding means in such a manner that the adaptor can be attached to the arm and/or the adaptor can be detached from the arm, and/or the adaptor is held to the arm at the reference fixation position.
