PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for searching misregistration and/or register shift in a body to be printed, wherein influence of doubling is considered when measuring misregistration and/or register shift in the body to be printed and such misregistration is sufficiently searched by one measuring process.;SOLUTION: The method is used for searching misregistration and/or register shift in the body to be printed when produced with a multicolor printing machine using a computer.
