PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide phase change inks (hot melt inks) suitable for ink jet printing, which are solid at room temperature, free of leakage during handling, and not accompanied by risk of clogging even without a nozzle cap.SOLUTION: A phase change ink composition comprises a crystalline component, and an amorphous material that comprises a mixture of an ester of tartaric acid and an ester of citric acid. The amorphous component material has a glass transition temperature of -20°C to about 50°C.
