PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin polymer with a reduced content of a fine powder, and a preliminary polymerization catalyst to be used in the production of the olefin polymer.;SOLUTION: The preliminary polymerization catalyst is produced by a preliminary polymerization step that comprises: a first step of batch type preliminary polymerization of an olefin in an inactive solvent in the presence of a solid catalyst component (A) containing titanium, magnesium and a halogen, an organoaluminum compound component (B) and an electron donor component (C); and a second step of continuous preliminary polymerization of a liquid olefin in the presence of the preliminary polymerization product obtained in the first step, an organoaluminum compound component (D) and an electron donor component (E). Polymerization of an olefin is performed using the preliminary polymerization catalyst, so that an olefin polymer with a reduced content of a fine powder can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
