PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for predicting future elution of hexavalent chromium contained in a recycle material.SOLUTION: In the method for predicting elution of hexavalent chromium contained in a recycle material, a computer executes the steps of: storing by relating total chrome information on the elution amount of the total chrome contained in a recycle material and hexavalent chromium information on the elution amount of hexavalent chromium eluted from the recycle material for a predetermined period and storing them as prediction information; acquiring object total chrome information on the elution amount contained in a recycle material as an object to be predicted; calculating the presence of the elution of hexavalent chromium after a lapse of the predetermined period based on the object total chrome information stored in the information acquiring step, by accessing the predicted information stored in the storing step; and outputting the presence or absence of the elution of hexavalent chromium calculated in the calculating step.
