PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a sprayed coating which has precise and good characteristics even to substrates having a large thermal expansion coefficient and a sprayed coating produced by the method.;SOLUTION: In a method of producing a sprayed coating by using a material for flame spray to a substrate of a thermal expansion coefficient of 10×10-6/K or higher, the material for flame spray contains a granular spray material of an average particle size of 500 nm to 5 μm having a thermal expansion coefficient of equal to or higher greater than 1×10-6/K and smaller than 10×10-6/K. The material for flame spray is sprayed onto a substrate under the conditions of a spray temperature of 1,000-10,000°C and a spray rate of 300 m/s or higher to form, on the substrate, a sprayed coating having such a surface shape that, with the height of crests in the cross sectional surface, measured in the region of 10 mm by 10 mm from the center of the surface, as H, the number of crests meeting the condition H≥100 μm is zero.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
