PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design more economical coupling means which couples an earth retaining wall and a foundation slab by preventing a bending moment borne by the coupling means from being evaluated excessively.;SOLUTION: A method of evaluating a bending moment Mwp borne by the coupling means includes: calculating a first bending moment MWS generated on the earth retaining wall at a position of the same height as an upper surface of the foundation slab by an earth pressure and a water pressure, a second bending moment Msn around a line intersection of the upper surface of the foundation slab and the earth retaining wall by force in the vertical direction generated on the earth retaining wall, a third bending moment MS generated on the earth retaining wall at the position of the same height as a lower surface of the foundation slab, and a fourth bending moment MQS around the line intersection by shear force generated on the earth retaining wall at the position of the same height as the lower surface of the foundation slab; and calculating Mwp by an equation Mwp=MWS+Msn-MS-MQS.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
